Last chance to enter competitions
2016 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)
Students across Year 2 to Year 10 have an opportunity to enter in the 2016 International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS).
The aims of the competitions are to monitor individual progress, recognise and reveal achievement and provide a comprehensive analysis of student performance. These competitions allow an opportunity for students to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external situation.
All entries and payment will need to be returned to the office no later than Wednesday 30th March 2016. These items are available for payment on the Qkr app. Contact the office for further information if you do not yet have access and are interested in paying this way.
Please note - the permission form still needs to be signed and returned to school.
2016 Reconciliation Week
Art Competition
The 2016 Reconciliation Week Art Competition is now open! The aim of this competition is for students to work individually or collaboratively to express what reconciliation means to them, reconciliation here in Moree or their hopes for reconciliation in the future.
Of course, it may seem a bit daunting to explain something like reconciliation for a child but it can be simplified down to the most basic messages of loves, friendship and kindness.
The categories for this year’s competition are:
· Pre-School & Kindergarten
· Year 1 to Year 3
· Year 4 to Year 6
· Year 7 to Year 9
· Year 10 to Year 12
· Group Contribution
There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd. The rules are:
· The artwork must be on either a A4 or A3 piece of paper.
· Must have your name, category and school/Pre-School
· Show what reconciliation means to you.
The competition will close on May 23rd after that no other entries will be accepted.
Any entries can be handed in to the AES at 207 Balo St or to Miss Gardiner by Tuesday 17th May.
