The Role of Parents Supporting Children’s Mental Health
Recognised around the world for over 20 years, Monday October 10 is World Mental Health Day and marks at Kilvington the start of our celebration of Mental Health Week.
This year, students can participate in activities which encourage taking care of our mental health as well as learning how to best support those experiencing difficulties with mental health.
As part of this week, we would like to invite parents to join us on Monday October 10 and hear about the role of parents in supporting the mental health of their children. We will have guest speakers from Beyond Blue and Headspace.
Refreshments will be provided from 7.00pm, so please make the most of this opportunity to join with fellow members of your parent community prior to our guest speakers commencing at 7.30pm, with our event concluding at 9.00pm. Book your place here.
Code Camp is Back
Code Camp is back at Kilvington during the September holidays. It will be presented by Code Avengers between 19 - 21 September 2016 and is open to Year 4 – Year 12 students.
This camp is a day only camp, where attendees learn basic skills, then team up with peers to solve problems and build real apps, games and websites. The activities cater for beginners as well as experienced coders. The camp is run by experienced teachers who know how to make learning fun.
