Another busy two weeks has passed at Monash SDS while the days get warmer and the sun shines brightly. Our students remain settled and happy to be back at school with their friends and it is wonderful to see the positive numbers in terms of COVID continue. A result of so many in our communities working hard to keep everyone safe.

There was a buzz of excitement at school today as we had a film crew onsite filming in preparation for a new virtual tour of Monash SDS to be available on our website. The students and staff didn’t disappoint with many smiling faces showcasing our wonderful school. It gave me great pleasure to talk about the many positive programs at Monash SDS and the wonderful school community we have.

Our teachers have been busy finishing assessments of the students and writing their reports. The reports will look similar to last semester with the addition of information around the Individual Learning Plans. Once the reports have been released onto Compass we will have SSG’s to allow you to touch base with your child’s classroom teacher. More information to follow!

I have enjoyed spending time with the Student Representative Council this fortnight where we have been discussing their future plans once they leave us at the end of the year and planning the very important end of year celebrations! We are very pound of this group of young individuals who have organised many fun days this year and we look forward to celebrating their time here at Monash SDS.
