Careers Report

It been great to see students back on campus and I’m looking forward to seeing the Year 8, 9 and 10 students in the coming weeks. For our VCE students these are their last weeks of secondary schooling, so being able to see them face to face to finalise their pathways plans is really great.

Confirmation of VET courses will be coming out next week; I will be sending home a confirmation letter that needs to be signed and returned and an invoice for materials costs that need to be paid by the agreed date of Friday November 27.  Materials costs must be paid by this due date unless a payment arrangement has been made with Vicky Kamfonas, Business Manager.  If these materials costs are not paid by the due date, enrolment will be cancelled and students will enrolled in a subject that is available here at Scoresby.

If there are any problems or details you are unsure of, please make contact before this date to discuss.

In the coming weeks students who are studying a VET subject will having an orientation, this year will be online and will provide an opportunity for students to meet their trainer and have a look at the facilities and get some idea of structure and expectations. I will be emailing each student their orientation details in the coming weeks.

For our Year 10 students we are still hoping that you may be able to attend the alternative Work Experience week in December,  I encourage you to make enquiries and get the paperwork with employer details and contacts back to me.

I can then prepare the official paperwork for students, parents, employer and finally the school to sign so you are ready to go if the COVID restrictions at that time allow you to attend.
