Christmas Is Giving Assembly

3 December 2020

Huntingtower has been generously donating to the Eastern Emergency Relief Network for over two continuous decades. This year, we will not be collecting non-perishable food, toys and hygienic items as we have done in the past, due to restrictions connected to the pandemic. However, there are more families in need than ever because of the many challenges of 2020.

We are going ahead with a pre-recorded assembly and plan to raise some money for this worthy local charity by having a gold coin donation for a free dress day.

The Junior School will be joining with the Senior School for this community outreach. Students and staff do not need to feel restricted to a single gold coin, of course, as we would love to really support those in our eastern suburbs who are struggling financially, especially during the Christmas season.

Students can all look forward to the staff Nativity Play as in years past, even though it will be pre-recorded. Pak Survi has been working very hard to assemble the stunning biblical costumes and to make any new ones that are needed.

The Music Department is finding ways to contribute as well, for which we are very grateful.

Mentor groups will view the assembly in their own rooms. The new prefects will come around to collect the donations.

Please encourage your students to come prepared to give so that we can really make a difference.

Remember, Christmas is giving!
