From the Team 3/4 Classrooms
The Year 3 and 4 students haven’t lost a beat returning to onsite learning and have enthusiastically engaged in all learning activities.
In English the students have been learning about poetry. They have been learning about different poetic devices and writing their own poetry. It has been a lot of fun as they experiment with rhyme, alliteration and onomatopoeia for example. They have also written their own poetry in the form of limericks, rhyming, free verse, cinquains, diamantes and more!
Here are a few examples of the student’s work. We’d love to share more examples but the newsletter might take you a week to read. If you have a Year 3 or 4 student, make sure you ask your child about the poetry they have been writing!
