Performing Arts & Music at BPPS

Reminder regarding restrictions

Due to restrictions enforced by the Department of Education and Training, we are unable to sing at this time which sadly means no choirs for the remainder of the year. Other ensembles are also not running at this time but individual instrumental lessons can continue onsite, with the exception of woodwind and voice lesson.  Please check with your instrumental teacher in regards whether lessons for your instrument are onsite or online for the remainder of this term.

The restrictions on 'blowing' instruments also means that our Grade 3/4 students will not be able to play recorders during Term 4.  We are instead continuing with African Drumming, with the sanitiser being applied before and after use.  Grade 3/4 students can take their recorders home, but at this stage the books will be used later in the term.

In the Performing Arts Classroom...

Foundation - Creating our own indigenous style group dance

Grade 1/2 - Beginning the recording process for our jingle

Grade 3/4 - African Drumming: Kplango as a group

Grade 5/6 - Polishing our Decade Dance in a team

Virtual Carols

This year's carols will be held virtually and more information on this will be provided to families in the coming weeks.
