Prepare for exams with EDSC Library study guides

Students preparing for exams are encouraged to use the study guides on the EDSC Library website.

These guides have been created by the expert Library staff and are aligned to the Victorian curriculum.

Our Study Skills guide includes a page on exam preparation, with information on effective revision and how to remain calm and confident before, during, and after exams. The guide also includes tips on writing, reading and note-taking, and time management.

Our website offers other study guides on a range of subjects including English, History, and Geography.

Design the 2022 EDSC Library Bookmark

The Library wants you to design our official 2022 bookmark!

Students can create a handmade or digital design. Your design must:

  • Be sized 206mm x 56mm.
  • Your background should go right to the edges. Any text or important graphics need 3mm of ‘bleed’ space at the edge (they should fit inside the size 200mm x 50mm).
  • Digital designs should be 300dpi. You can use the templates on Compass and the Library website for guidance.
  • Handmade designs can be photographed or scanned and emailed - and if they win, we will organise a high-quality scan of the artwork for printing.
  • Designs must be one sided only. You may sign your name on the design if you like.
  • Designs must include the words ‘EDSC Library’ somewhere.

Designs should be emailed to

library@eastdonsc.vic.edu.au by 4pm on Friday 29th October. You can enter more than once.

The Library will have bookmarks of the winning design professionally printed, and provide these free to students in the Library throughout 2022. The winner will also receive a $20 prize voucher.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Campion?

Campion is a third party company that EDSC uses to administer our booklist and supply new books to students.

Do I have to buy everything on the list?

You need to buy everything listed for the subjects your student is enrolled in. However, general stationery items such as pens and rulers do not need to be purchased from Campion if you already own these items or can source them elsewhere.

Do I have to buy books through Campion, or can I buy second-hand books elsewhere?

You don’t have to buy your student’s books through Campion. However, there is a risk of buying incorrect editions of textbooks from other parties, as textbooks are revised regularly. If you’d like to buy second-hand books, we recommend buying them through the Sustainable School Shop. This company has been supplied with the EDSC booklist and can help ensure you buy the correct editions.

If you buy a second hand book, you should also check whether you need to purchase a digital code to access any extra online resources required.

Why am I charged $15.95 at the end of my order?

Campion charges a $5.95 processing fee for all orders. Orders will also be charged a $10 home delivery fee as due to COVID-19, school delivery and pick-up is unable to take place. However, you may be able to organise order pick-up from Campion by contacting Campion directly.

Do we have to bring all the books in on the first day of school?

No, you can stagger what you bring in to make it easier. You will get information about what is needed on day one.
