Learning and Teaching Update

'Nurturing collaborative and authentic relationships.'

Back onsite and back together

These are our terrific multi-age groups who socialise together, learn together and enjoy each others company. This past 2 weeks has been all about being normal kids and friendship - playing, sharing ideas, chatting, learning outside, being creative and sharing in the joy of the simple things in life, being at school. Check out some happy snaps from our staggered return. The idea of masks was not even on their radar! Many lovely new outdoor recycled mats and cushions and outside seats have been well used and enjoyed in sunshine and fresh air.

This term, we are inquiring into Creativity & Innovation. We will explore how we can use ideas and current technology to make the world around us better.

In preparation for this unit, I inquired into the ways that our school community has been creative and innovative during remote learning. I crafted some questions connected to our big ideas and gathered some examples.

Creativity → How has remote learning sparked creativity?

Innovation → How have we changed the way we learn to meet our new needs?
