2022 FAMILIES WHO MAY BE LEAVING OLOF

We understand that circumstances may change for some families and that it is a time of seeking new directions and new opportunities in other places. If any families are moving out of the area and do not require a place for their children at Fatima next year please advise us now to assist with our planning and organisation for our 2022 school year. It is very important because it does affect our funding.

If anyone knows of families who have not yet enrolled and are planning to, please advise them to be in contact as soon as possible to be able to participate in any planned transition or orientation activities.

If you need financial support to maintain your child's enrolment due to loss of income during the lockdown please be in touch. You are part of the Fatima family and we are here for you.

OLOF School Advisory Council

Our Lady of Fatima is set to go with the brand new School Advisory Council and is awaiting on MACS to finalise the School Advisory Council Manual. There has been a lot of work that has gone into setting up a new structure within the MACS governing board. Council members will sign all relevant OLOF Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and the MACS SAC Code of Conduct before meeting for the first time to set up roles within. All information including the MACS OLOF Terms of Reference and Mission Statement can be located on our school website under the Community Tab. I thank our new Council members for their patience as we work with MACS to initiate a new structure within our school.

World Teachers Day 2021

Australia will celebrate and thank the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 29 October 2021.  Teachers (with support from parents and carers) have ensured education continues across the country this year, despite major challenges. It’s reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of children and students, their families, and communities.

Our teachers have had some small celebrations and acknowledgements during lockdown and when we are all back together will be treated to a visit from the coffee van and a few other spoils to say thank you. We have also created a thank you video from the students early in October to say thank you which we shared via our virtual assembly.

On Friday 29 October, you can say a big thank you to teachers by posting a photo in your sunglasses and sending your photo in to us to share on our Facebook and Instagram page and via our next newsletter, either on your own or with family or friends.
