From the Principal

We have had an amazing start back to school following the COVID lockdown and holidays. Our students are settled and keen to be back learning. Attendance has been good and I have been pleased to see students turning up in full school uniform. Any student who does not have a bucket hat or cap, please let your class staff know and we can make sure your child gets a new one ready for the warmer weather.

I'm pleased to let you know that we will be fully staffed next year after a difficult staffing year this year.

New staff for 2022

Michael Wong-See, Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction

Hayley Marsden - teacher

Jade Georgiou - teacher

Cathy Bradbury - teacher

Matty Georgiou - support officer

We have been recruiting for 3 new permanent executive positions (2 Assistant Principals and 1 Head Teacher Campus) and I'll be able to share the names of the successful applicants with you in the next newsletter.

We hope that the back transport and front Campus transport area will be finished by next year so that we can take some pressure off Anson Street. The Campus transport area will include up to 30 parking spaces which will make a significant difference to the road traffic as well.

With greater freedom from COVID restrictions lifting, we are staying vigilant at school and ask that you continue to wear masks when dropping off or picking up your child. With local schools, Bletchington and Bowen being affected and having to close recently, we can't be complacent. Unfortunately, parents are still unable to come onto the school site, except for individual interviews and new student orientation.

Please support our school by collecting your cans and bottles and returning them to one of the two Return and Earn sites in town. Thanks to Mrs Griffen for setting us up as a donation partner. For more information please go to the 'What's Happening' section of this newsletter.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful Spring weather and the ability to get out and about to more places.
