OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Living God, We are called to remember the past- all those who lost their lives in the course of wars, the horror they endured, the determination they displayed to defend the values we hold so dear, the sacrifices they made so that we may enjoy lasting peace.

Lord in your Mercy, hear our prayer.

Amen.

We pray ...

We pray for... all students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation, for all Year 12 students, in particular, the McCarthy Catholic College students as they prepare for the HSC, and for all those who have died in war and conflict; all those who serve our country in war to protect the freedom and rights of others.

REMEBERENCE DAY

Next Thursday is Remembrance Day – a day when we reflect and give thanks for the sacrifices made by so many in times of war and conflict. As a school community we will spend time in reflection and prayer, play the Last Post and say the Ode of Remembrance to coincide with the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month. Lest we forget.
