Thunderstorm Asthma Season

This is a reminder to all parents regarding the importance of ensuring you are up to date with the management of your child's asthma and hay fever during the spring season. We have seen in previous years the effects of high pollen and thunderstorms during this season and how these triggers can cause breathing difficulties. This can become very serious very quickly, so prevention and awareness are the best ways of reducing the risk.

If your child has asthma, please make sure you follow the checklist below to make sure you have everything in place to reduce symptoms and manage their asthma effectively at school.

  • Stay indoors as much as possible on high pollen days
