Learning Support - Examination Period and Alternate Exam Room

Caroline Coggins

The examination period is now only weeks away. Students should be starting to think about exams, clarifying topics they will be examined on with their teachers and beginning to revise for them.

The Alternative Exam Room  (AER) will be in operation again. The AER is a classroom where students from Years 7-11 can sit to complete their exams. The AER is supervised by Learning Support Officers and it has a more relaxed atmosphere – a smaller room, less students and more support in the areas that students need.

Students are welcome to request going into the AER via the their subject teachers or Learning Support Officers (LSOs). This needs to be completed by the end of the school day on Monday 31st October.

For students who have been receiving modified work during the year, but do not wish to sit in the AER, this is also possible. Ask your child to discuss this with their Teacher or a Learning Support Officer.
