Italian day 2022
Che splendida giornata! What a great day!
We were so lucky with the weather which allowed us to spend our day enjoying all our fun events outside: the parade, the games and art and of course the famous grade 6 pizza
making and hands free spaghetti eating competitions.
Following these activities the children enjoyed their pizza and gelato lunch all’aperto (outdoors) before moving on to cheer the competitors in the competitions.
In the afternoon we were entertained by Michelle from Spectacular Spettacolo. Many of the children were called to participate in her scenes about travelling through Italy and there was much hearty singing and interaction.
I would like to thank all the students, staff and parents for your support in creating this joyous event. Particular thanks to Adriana Rios and Andrew Ward for your invaluable and generous work on the day. I truly appreciated all you did in setting up and clearing throughout the day.
I would also like to thank Mubble in Sorrento for very generously donating their delicious ice-cream and time; coming to the school to serve it. The children always look forward to this treat.
