Year 11-12 Sub School Leader.

My name is William Leversha, and this year I have the privilege of being appointed to a new position at our school called the Year 11-12 Sub School Leader. My main role is working with our VCE students on programs, special provision, study skills and any other issues that arise. 

Our new Year 11 Team Leaders, Karen Lee and Belinda Wehl have got the year 11s off to a great start, which includes a lot of our year 11s starting in a new VCE Vocational Major program which has given us a lot of flexibility to offer students a variety of pathways. Others will be embarking on their VCE journey with us in senior school which comes with a whole new assessment policy.

Our 2023 year 12s are in the SLC using the new study tables to great effect and are happy to be using the kitchenette! On Wednesday 15th February our 2023 Year 12 cohort took part in their Induction assembly where they received their year 12 badges to go along with their new blue jumpers and ties. BHS alumni Remi Bilston was an exciting guest speaker, and we were joined by the 2022 Dux Todd McGinley and runner up Jasper Meehan. Jasper gave a great speech imparting the wisdom he gained last year. We are very proud of all of our year 12s, but also a huge congratulations to the student leaders who ran the ceremony with a special mention to Ellie Howlett and Isaac Jantzen our school captains who spoke very well. 

We look forward to a huge year of successes and great times this year for our senior team!
