Asthma

Asthma is a serious and destressing condition for the person affected and can be triggered by a variety of environmental situations as well as specific triggers to the individual.

Parents are reminded that if their student suffers from Asthma they are required to provide the school with an Asthma Plan signed by their GP as soon as possible, so that we can provide the most appropriate treatment to each individual.

It is also vital that students carry with them their own prescribed puffer at all times. While the school does have a limited amount on site the most appropriate treatment is always the child's own puffer.

In the event of a serious or life-threatening asthma attack the school may need to call an ambulance. Please consider family ambulance cover, if you do not already have it or if you do not hold a current Health Care Card.
