WELCOME
FEB/MAR 2023
To begin 2023, we at Baimbridge would like to welcome all new and returning families, students and staff. As every year comes to an end, we thank the staff and students that have moved on for being a part of the Baimbridge family and trust their journey continues to bring them happiness.
The Year 12 Class of 22 produced some Outstanding results in both VCE and VCAL in which we saw a dedicated group of students achieve their academic and vocational goals.
We wish them the best in their future ventures.
After the impact of the COVID years, we have continued with help and support of students throughout the school and have consolidated the Wellbeing and First Aid group, now located in the library.
Building work continues to progress with the refurbishment of the Gym and boys toilets update. The D wing upgrade is now complete along with demolition of E wing (old Trade Wing) . The upgrade to that area is now in planning.
Term 1 is always busy with the swimming, cross country and athletics (house and interschool), Year 7 Camp, Presentation Ball, Grade 6 Transition Day. The School House swimming was taken out by Laver while Baimbridge finished 4th overall in the GD Swimming Carnival.
Meet & Greet evenings
You will have noticed that we have been holding year level Meet and Greet nights, where we invite our families to drop in over the course of two hours to have your child introduce their teachers and create those vital connections. The aim of these sessions is to put faces to names from both sides and have the students feel that connection between home and school. We hope that by opening the doors to you the parents and having you back on site after so many years of disruption, we can form new relationships and re-connect with established families. There are no presentations, no set times, we understand life is busy with kids, work and after school commitments. It is a genuine want to form a strong community from the schools' perspective and we thank the families that took the time to attend the years 7-10 to date and look forward to meeting the 11's and 12's on the 15th.
Student Diaries have been allocated, so please use them to plan, complete community time activities and keep track of submissions. It also required for students who exit the classroom to have their diary with them containing the appropriate signed release from their classroom teacher. Uniform policy together with expectations on personal appearance including make-up, jewellery and piercings is also included in the Diary.
We thank the following staff for their contribution during their time with us and wish them well in their new lives and schools.
