Dear Parents/Carers,
Known, Named and Encouraged to do their best-has been the catchphrase I have encourgaed staff to use in guiding them during the first few weeks of school. What we know about each child both accademically, socially and emotionally provides teachers with a framework to guide them for the school year.
Our classrooms are unique in that never before or in the future will the same group of children and teacher/s will spend a year together. Parents and Carers have an important role in ensuring this unique group have a great year as we all strive to do their best. A Parent - Teacher Meet Day has been scheduled for Thursday 23rd February. Parents will be able to book a time between 12.30- 7.30pm to meet with their child's teacher. It's an important time for parents to provide their knowlege about thier child to the teacher. Notification will be sent out on Compass regarding the process to book an interview on Monday.
Please note : Thursday 23rd February is a Pupil free day and there will be no classes.
School Uniform: I wanted to congratulate everyone on theor efforts in ensuring their child is wearing the right unifrom on the right day. There are two days for sports uniform and three days for school uniform. Shoes are always a point of conjecture, and shoe manufacturers are always attempting to trade off between the traditional school shoe and runners. ALl students require two types of footwear - one for PE/Sports day and one for the three other days of the week.
School Photo Day is this Wednesday 15th February. Please return your order envelope prior to the day. We request that ALL students wear their school uniform on the day. If your child has PE they can bring their runners in their school bag. Always love seeing the hair styles on photo day. Please contact the Office if you wish to for a family photo form.
Parking Update: signs are quite specific about what you are required to do so that we can provide a safe drop off zone for our children. If drivers respect the signage there are no issues. Parents who wish to park and come in to the school are required to park further down the road past thew school boundary to ensure our drop off zone works. It only needs one person to ignore the sign and the area becomes unsafe. Thank you to all drivers who are supporting our drop off and no parking zones.
Looking forward to some great weather on the weekend
Take Care
Paul
