Infants and Primary
Primary particulars
Welcome back to all students, parents and carers. We have a busy and exciting year ahead, with a few new faces around the school. The students in primary have very quickly settled into their routines - with classes beginning exciting units of work across the curriculum. The year 5/6 class are beginning to explore the history of Lego - and will use this as their writing unit this week.
On a personal note, my first week here at BCS has been fantastic, and I'd like to thank all of the parents, children and staff for making it such a special place. I look forward to meeting many more of you at the Welcome BBQ next Tuesday 12th February at 6pm.
Some reminders for Primary:
- Swimming for sport is in weeks 3,4 and 5 (notes went out this week)
- Swimming Carnival is this Friday 8th February
- GRIP Leadership Conference expressions of interest for year 6 due ASAP
- Please ensure that hats are brought to school and plenty of water - the hot weather isn't going anywhere soon.

Infants
Kindergarten 2019 have settled in to school well. It has been fantastic to see how quickly they have learned to unpack their things and line up in the morning, greeting their teacher with enthusiastic smiles. They are getting the hang of morning literacy and post lunch maths rotations and enjoying time in the playground.
Infants students have made a wonderful return to school adapting to their 2019 classrooms and teachers. It is wonderful to see students smartly dressed in their school uniforms, keen and ready to learn.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden
Every second Friday Yrs 5/6 will be cooking in the school kitchen - starting from the 15th of Feb. For these lessons the students will need to bring their school shoes (or other enclosed leather topped shoes). Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.
