Whole School Assembly

This Friday is a whole school assembly at the Buninyong Campus. All students will start the day at Buninyong and catch the bus back to Scotsburn after recess.

Canteen Helpers

Scotsburn are scheduled to assist Tracey in the canteen in the next few weeks. Special thanks to the wonderful volunteers below for offering their support.

Grandparents & Special Friends Morning

What an amazing morning we had last Thursday. The feedback from our guests was quite overwhelming. They loved spending time with us and were just so impressed with the way that the school (both inside and outside) is now presented. As we know, it’s not often that our Grandparents and Special Friends get to visit us, but they always love it when they do. A big thanks also to our parents for organising an incredible morning tea.

Remembrance Day

On Monday morning, the Scotsburn students participated in a short ceremony. It was fantastic to see the students so respectful during this time. Follow up activities in the classroom helped to reinforce the importance of the day.

Bike Education / Bring Your Bike to School Week

To coincide with the Bike Ed Sessions for the Gr 3-6’s, students from P-6 at Scotsburn have been encouraged to bring their bike and helmet to school from the 11th-15th November. Students have been riding their bikes during PE sessions and also at break times. The kids have had an awesome time!

New BBQ Area

To celebrate the opening of our new BBQ area, we thought that it would be great to launch the space by holding a BBQ for the students and staff this Friday. We will be offering meat and vegetarian sausages.

Date: Friday 15th November. Cost - $2 per sausage.

Order and payment due today – Tuesday 12th November.

Back Creek Farm Visit

This Friday afternoon, the Gr P-2’s from SC1 & SC2 will be making their way out to Back Creek to help them on the farm. The bus will pick us up at 1.45pm and return us to school by 3.15pm.

Scotsburn Bore

Over the long weekend, the much anticipated bore was finally installed next to the water tanks beside the oval. This will be fantastic as we will now have access to a ready supply of water. Having water will open up a whole range of opportunities for our gardening and cooking program as well and the beautification of our campus. The next piece of the puzzle is to engage a plumber to help us with all of the connections to ensure that we can access the water right across the campus.

Icy Poles

Axel will again be selling icy poles for $1 on Thursdays.

Lunch Order Roster

Lunch orders need to be collected from the Buninyong campus at 12.40 pm. Please ensure you organise a swap if necessary so that the students don’t go hungry!

School Bus Travel for 2020

Families who are eligible and wish to use one of the three country bus services next year are required to complete and return a new application form for their child/children and return it to the office by the end of Term 4.

Likewise, if your child/children attend our Scotsburn campus and would like to use our between campus service, a new application form is also required.

If your child/children are already bus travellers, we will be sending a form home with the eldest child in the family in the next few weeks. For new travellers, please call into the office to see Mel for an application form and further details.

Please note: All current bus rolls will be cleared at the end of Term 4 and only children for which we have new application forms for will be permitted to travel.
