Help, there's still spots to volunteer

No Rain, No Rainbows

It takes a WHOLE parent community to run our fun and sustainable event. And thank you to all the people who have volunteered their time already, or have signed up to many spots on Signup Genius for over the weekend, we see you ;)

Here's the most important spots we need to fill:

  • Food prep for Gala night (Saturday) – for our fancy canapés for the Year 6 students to serve.
  • Salad stall on Family Day (Sunday) – you'll be accepting salads that parents deliver, putting them into a bigger tray, adding a few ingredients, and serving on a plate. Easy. We don't have anyone here yet. Choose this, particularly if you're vegetarian/vegan.
  • Hot Food on Family Day – there's serving at a fancy paella stand, a lamb roast + slaw stand, corn-on-the-cob, and the favourite sausage-in-bread. Note, afternoon spots are empty.
  • ArtZone on Sunday still need helpers for the afternoon shifts. These spots are fun and easy.
  • Packup – Family Day is a massive event and needs loads of people packing down chairs and tables and marquees and all the things that disappear so the school's ready for the following day. It's actually a nice time to meet new parents and be the shining light to the volunteers (honest, they may even shed a tear) who have been there since dawn and just want to go home.
  • Waste + Wash Station – to help with our sustainability incentives, we are have specific spots where people sort their own waste into trays. Items like plates and cutlery are taken by volunteers to get washed in a dishwasher.
