Well done to the students who have made it right to the end of the year. It’s been a long haul from the COVID impacted start to the year. Time to breathe out and reflect on the successes and challenges of the year, in preparation for moving forward.

On the whole the Year 11 group have been very supportive of one another, and we have encouraged them to think and act as a community, and assist one another. Students have developed and honed these skills through various Class, Wellbeing, Farm, Trades and Residential opportunities and social and sporting experiences in and out of the College. It has been wonderful to watch them grow towards adults that will confidently ask RU OK? and be able to recognise and assist others in need.

It is with these thoughts in mind, and the comfort and wellbeing of the incoming 2023 Year 11s, that we encourage the 2023 Year 12s to embrace the new Year 11s into their community and care for them as they have done for each other. I’m sure they will do an exceptional job at making the College a place where everyone feels welcome and valued.

As our students scatter back out amongst their communities for the summer break I wish you all a safe and enjoyable festive season, and look forward to the new year and new challenges. I’ll leave you with some pictures from our Positive Culture reward day this week at Northam Aquatic Centre and look forward to the first term of next year when we can do it again.
