Student Council

The Student Council and staff have worked diligently in Term 4 to organise some enjoyable activities and fundraisers. The Halloween night was highly successful, with almost all students dressing up for a night of fun! The kitchen staff produced an amazing array of food to suit the occasion and we can’t thank them enough for all their efforts.

On Tuesday this week, we had a Students vs Staff basketball match. There was a great turnout and many of the students and teachers enjoyed the friendly banter and competitiveness that all players bought to the court.

On Thursday Night we hosted a Oldie’s Bingo and Trivia Night. Students supported the local Cunderdin Op Shop and bought an oldie outfit to wear for the occasion. Students were enthusiastic and engaged in the activities to win prizes such as chocolate bars and skip the line tickets which can be used to skip all meals lines during the first week of   Term 1.

We are excited to welcome and introduce the incoming Year 11’s to the great opportunities and experiences available here at the College. We are looking forward to joining in with the Induction Days next year.

Planning has begun for recreation activities on weekends such as go-karting, visiting Perth’s outdoor cinemas and more! Fundraisers such as a Do it For Dolly Day, have been organised for Week 1, Term 2, focusing on the importance of speaking up about issues such as bullying/cyberbullying, anxiety, depression, and suicide.

Students have recommended there be more activities to do at recess and lunch and an outdoor basketball court was suggested to the Student Council. Through planning and fundraising via the P&C’s current ‘grain drive’ (details on P&C page), we hope to provide this to students, as it is a great way to encourage students to be social and exercise.

Finally, our Leavers jumpers design has been agreed on by the students and we are soon to place an order so they are ready for us early next year!

Wishing all of the students and families a great holiday break.
