ICAS

ICAS is an internationally accredited assessment program run by the University of New South Wales.

In Term 3, a large number of Year 3 to Year 6 students participated in the ICAS English, Maths, Digital Technologies, and Science assessments.

 

This year, IPS had a record number of entries in the assessments, which were again conducted entirely online.

 

Our students performed amazingly well. All in all 252 certificates were awarded. 

To receive a distinction, you must perform in the top 10% of students in Australia. 

To receive a High Distinction, you must perform in the top 1% of students in Australia.

 

There were 61 entries in the English assessment of which:

11 received  Distinctions

16 received  Credits

4 received  Merits

25 received  Participations

 

There were  67 entries in mathematics,

Principal’s Awards were given to the top performing student in each subject across the entire school in Science, Digital Technologies, English and Mathematics.
