YEAR 10 CAREERS MENTORING BREAKFAST

The Year 10 Careers Mentoring Breakfast was run on Friday 11 November. This event is a collaboration between SHC Careers staff and the Alumni/Community Relations team. 

Sixty Alumni and community volunteers shared breakfast with Year 10s while mentoring them about their possible future career. Students chose their group based on 17 career clusters. The Careers Mentoring Breakfast is aimed at helping students to:

• Decide/understand more about potential career paths
• Find out more about the activities involved in their chosen field
• Find out ways to study or train to reach their career goals
• Develop networks in a chosen area
• Gain confidence in talking to professionals
