Bus Transport

GSG provides a SmartRider card for all students on commencement. This card can be used for all Swan Transit school buses and TransWA bus services in Albany and Perth, and on the Perth trains. Replacement cards can be ordered through MyGSG or Student Administration and Reception.

Albany Public Transport Area

If you live within the Albany Public Transport Area (see map below) your child can use their SmartRider card to access a bus service to school. Please be aware that there may be more than one bus option(s) available to get to GSG. Please see below timetable. This service is run by Swan Transit, with their bus depot located at 7 Barker Road, Albany. Phone 9842 2888.

Outside Albany Public Transport Area

If you live outside the Albany Public Transport Area you will need to submit an application for a seat on the relevant (orange) school bus via School Bus Services. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, prior to the start of Term One. Please see attached School Bus Services FAQ and link below.

GSG Late Bus

A late bus from Great Southern Grammar to PCYC on Sanford Road in Albany runs from Monday to Thursday during the school term for students attending sport training, music classes and academic support after school. The bus leaves at 4.45pm and the cost is not covered by the SmartRider card. Cash is paid to the bus driver. A stop at Lower King or Bayonet Head can be requested of the bus driver on the day.
