Street Smarts Program

Greater Shepparton Secondary College would like to thank Victorian Aboriginal Legal Services (VALS) for the delivery of the Street Smarts program recently.

The program, delivered to our Years 7 to 10 First Nations students, was hosted by the Balit Ngulu team, who provide support for children and young people. The sessions included a range of guest speakers who focused on themes of empowerment, identity and culture and discussing how education is the key to opening doors and future possibilities.

The program also included informal workshops with students learning about their rights and responsibilities as young people and the importance of making good choices.

We value our partners and community leaders, who work closely with the college to support our young people in the broader community.
