  Raising money for floods

Proud to support our Greater Shepparton community

At Greater Shepparton Secondary College we say that we are GREATER together. So, it was a no brainer for our Year 11 VCAL students to throw their support behind the local flood recovery and relief efforts.

The students recently hosted two BBQ lunches to raise money for GV Cares, pulling together almost $500! Not only did the barbecues raise money for GV Cares, but they provided a great atmosphere and vibe around the College, as students and staff came together at lunchtime to share a bite to eat and listen to a variety of student performances.

GV Cares is the initiative of the Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project. Through generous donations from many businesses and organisations, the team of volunteers have been packing and delivering hampers of food and essentials to residents across the region.

We are so proud of our students and staff for showing this initiative and caring for our community. This has been particularly selfless given many of our students, families and staff have been impacted by floods themselves.
