Heading into 2023 

As we fast approach the end of this school year, our incoming Year 7’s and VCE students have been getting a head start on their education for 2023. This has been made possible through the Greater Shepparton Secondary College Early Commencement program, which supports Year 10 students heading into their first year of VCE, VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificates and our Year 11’s about to embark on their final year of secondary schooling.

The program is an opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with their 2023 timetable and subjects. Students are also able to meet their teachers and discuss what coursework to expect as part of their selected subjects and to gain an understanding of how their work will be assessed and what is required to meet outcomes.

As part of our 2023 preparations, GSSC has also continued to welcome its newest students through our Year 7 transition program. We have hosted students from 11 primary schools over the past few weeks and given them a real taste of a day-in-the-life of a GSSC student, showcasing our art, science, cooking, music, dance and sport programs.

We look forward to bringing all our Year 7 class of 2023 onsite together for the statewide transition day on Tuesday 13 December.
