A Message from Parents & Friends
Hi everyone,
Anyone else feeling like they are being catapulted towards the end of the year?! It's always the same once Term 3 is done - the countdown to the festive season begins!
We really hope those of you who attended Grandparents/ Special Persons Day enjoyed yourselves. Big thank you to Fiona, Leanne and Anna and the rest of our volunteers who organised and ran such a wonderful event. We are pleased to report that we raised approx $700 from pizza orders and the bake sale on the day. Thank you to everyone for your contribution on the day.
We would also like to thank the families who came along on Saturday 22nd October and had their portraits done. We really hope that you’re happy with your pictures. Thanks to you, our school was donated $660, which we are putting into our fundraising pot.
Canteen Clean Up
On Saturday 5th November, a group from our school community scrubbed, tidied and cleaned up the canteen. This is now set up ready to be a useful space and everything now has a place, making it easier for us to use at our events. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time.

We are in need of volunteers for the remainder of the term to sell icy poles. If you can spare an hour on a Friday to help us, please sign up via the link below.
Election BBQ - Saturday 26th November
Altona Green will once again be hosting an election BBQ. We will be serving up bacon and egg rolls first thing, followed by a trusty sausage sizzle. If you’re voting this November, come down to AGPS, cast your vote and grab a snag!
We are also seeking volunteers to come along and help cook and serve on the day. If you can spare a few hours, please sign up via the link below.
End of Year Celebrations - Wednesday 14th December.
Parents & Friends will be supporting this fun day for our children and families throughout the day. If you would like to get involved with soaking a teacher or selling icy poles, please sign up here.
End of Year Raffle
We will be running an end of year raffle this year. We have lots of awesome prizes. We will be sending raffle tickets with the eldest child next week. $1 a ticket for a book for $5. The raffle will be drawn during the end of year concerts.
