Year 3- 6 School Fun Run

TOMORROW all students in Years 3-6 will participate in the House Fun Run, at school. This is the first house event for the school year where the winning house will be decided at the end of the day. We require as many parents as possible to help stand along the track and encourage students along the way. Please see your allocated job in the attachment if you offered to help and meet on the oval at 10am. If you did not offer but would like to help, please also come along. Hope to see you there supporting your children as they run for their house!

Students will need to wear their full sport uniform for this event and may also bring a house coloured top, scarf or hat. Year 3/4 students will run 2km and students in Years 5 and 6 will run 3km. The 10 fastest girls and boys in each age category will represent our school at the District Cross Country in May.

Year 5 & 6 Interschool Sport

The second Summer Interschool Sport Competition day will be held on Friday 4 May. Winter Sport will begin in Week 4 and is a weekly competition in the sports of Netball, Soccer, AFL and Teeball. We still need parents to help score and supervise students every Friday afternoon in Term 2. If you are available any Fridays, please email or call Mrs. Khoo.

Coles Vouchers

Thank you to everyone who has sent in Coles School Sport Vouchers. We filled 8 large postage bags which have been sent them off to be counted.

Active Lunch Clubs

Active April is a government initiative to increase our awareness of health and our participation in physical activity. Although April ran through the holidays, at St John Vianney's we will be promoting this with Active April Lunch clubs. These clubs will also run throughout the term. Attached is a timetable as different year levels can participate on different days. These clubs are led by our sport captains and house captains.
