Middle Unit

Years 1 and 2

Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday 25th:

A couple of weeks ago we had a very exciting morning in which our grandparents and special friends came and experienced a morning at school. In MU2 we showed off our reading skills, interviewed our guests and wrote them a letter about how special they are to us. It was very exciting to show off our classroom and teacher.

Fun in the Yard

This has been a very short week but some MU2 students wanted to share their favourite things to do at recess.

Flynn likes to win in the GaGa pit, Owen plays soccer with his friends and loves to kick goals. Ava plays tiggy at the green crocodile slide and Calab likes to play GaGa. Curtis loves playing in the yard because the kids get to choose what to do and Will loves learning more soccer tricks. Alita plays made up games with her friends and June likes pretending to be a puppy. Zoey runs around playing tiggy and Milla plays soccer and footy with Lulu. With only 6 weeks of school left, the students of MU2 are going to miss recess and lunch over the break.

Year 3

A short week at school this week for us but it doesn’t stop us learning! We have been investigating shadows in Science and learning about how the sun shines on the earth. We had lots of fun playing shadow tag and making interesting shadows outside. Here are some photos of our shadows!

MU7 had an exciting day last Friday with Woodend Early Learning Centre visiting. The Kindergarten children played on the playground, then we read some of our favourite books to them, from when we were in Prep. They came into our classroom and we let them sit in our seats and draw and play games. Then we took them to visit the Prep classrooms and for a play in the Gym. The Grade 3’s loved the extra responsibility and the Kindergarten kids had a great time too!

  • Mrs Baillie is a pre-service teacher in Mrs Meggs’ class for 3 weeks.
  • Cricket training has continued for some of the Year 3’s. They are heading off to Gisborne next Friday, 15th November.
