HAVING FUN ON THE SWINGS IN THE OT THERAPY ROOM
The OT department have purchased an Indoor Therapy Swing for our Therapy space this year. Swinging is important to children not only for fun and exercise but also to help their bodies organise and to regulate their sensory systems.
Swing therapy helps integrate vestibular and proprioceptive input to improve coordination, motor planning, strengthens core posture, improves balance, and assists in calming and regulating behaviours. It also makes our crash and bash area into a great therapy space.
