Parents and Friends Association

 

A friendly message to all to keep “busy”, “stay safe” and “stay well”.  We are sending lots of virtual hugs to let the school community know that we are thinking of everyone.  Hopefully the next few weeks will fly by and Spring will bring good tidings for all.

Next Meeting

The PFA will hold its next monthly virtual meeting on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 7.30pm.  If any new members of the school community would like to join in please email Aban at aban2309@yahoo.com and we will very happily add you on to the distribution list.

Fried Wontons (Courtesy: Waili Kwong)

Ingredients:

  • 500g pork mince (minced) 
  • 200g prawn meat (roughly chopped) 
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2-3 stalks green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbs cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 500g wonton wrappers

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. 

Place 1 tablespoon filling in the middle of a wonton wrapper. Brush the edges with a little bit of water and fold the wonton over the filling to create a triangle.  Using your fingers, form the wrapper over the filling and press any air out.

 

Fill 1/3 pan with oil and heat.

 

Place wontons, a few at a time, into the hot oil and fry turning them over until crisp and browned.

 

Remove the fried wontons to drain excess oil on paper towels.

 

Enjoy with Thai sweet and chilli sauce!
