Welcome back to all students and staff. I hope everyone had an enjoyable break and a well earned rest. The mild summer conditions have made the transition back to the school much easier for both staff and students.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All new students have completed their Trades Inductions and have been issued with their Trades bag, 2 x safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves. Students are to bring these to every Trades session and are to ensure they are kept in good condition. When they become scratched or damaged students will need to seek a replacement pair. All students can purchase PPE at any time at the Trades office. As the name suggests these items are personal protective equipment and are not to be shared between students.

The students are all looking dashing in their uniforms and we thank them for complying with our College rules.

Personal Projects – Year 12’s and Trades Focus Students

Students are often required to make personal projects in both Metals and Furnishings. The total cost of the personal project(s) is to be covered by the student/parent/guardian.

The students design the projects and cost them out with assistance from the respective instructors. Letters are sent home informing the parents of the project and the estimated cost. It is College Policy that a 50% deposit is paid before the commencement of the project, and that the project is paid for in full before it is taken from the College.

The Trades staff welcome you to contact the College and speak to the friendly trainers at any time with regard to your child’s progress.
