Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a difference a week makes! It is like a switch has been turned off between winter and summer. It has been wonderful watching the students playing during breaks and PE out in the sun. With summer approaching, please be mindful of sending a hat and sunscreen to school with your child.

We have been very busy in the past couple of weeks. Our School Captains called the office of the Hon Mark Coulton MP to request new flags for our school. These will be displayed soon.

Congratulations to the Year 2 students who completed their Sacrament of Reconciliation last Sunday, 24th of August. They were very resilient, especially during a power-cut! I am looking forward to catching up with Year 3 parents at the First Holy Communion Parent Information night next Wednesday 9th September.

A survey regarding school operations has been sent out. I encourage you to respond and share your thoughts about our school. The link has been sent to your email, or can be found below:

As we are nearing the end of term, please send in any enrolment forms for 2021 if you have not already done so. We are hopeful that some of our COVID-19 restrictions will be reviewed during the school holidays. In particular, allowing students to attend the Kindergarten Transition program. If you have a child who will be attending St Joseph’s Primary School in 2021, can you please send in your enrolment forms as soon as possible. We need to utilise these numbers to plan our procedures and staffing. If you know anyone in the community with school-age children, in Kindergarten, or other year levels, and they are considering St Joseph’s as a school, please ask them to contact the office or see our webpage or Facebook page for more information regarding enrolling at our school.

Finally, best wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other significant father figures. Enjoy your special day on Sunday.

Regards,

Alistair Stewart
