Observing the changes in weather
Engaging in well being

Wow!! What a big week we have had remote learning! This week we engaged in learning around the weather as part of science week, and what a week it was to observe, predict and discover the concepts of weather! We had it all, rain, sun, wind and even a double rainbow!!

The children have responded amazingly to the tasks we have posted this week! There were so many incredible snow flakes that were shown, some families have been able to cover entire walls and windows!

The children extended on their fine motor work last week, there were some amazing drawings posted- with snowmen nature scenes being prominent. It was also incredible to see how many children resonated with the literacy task and engaged in writing or practicing letter formation.

There were some varying amounts of rain collected over the week in the children's home made rain gauges, this process was able to support children in mathematical skills of prediction, measurement, quantity and volume.

Next week we are arranging small Video meetings with groups of 5-6 children and their class teacher, we will email out information, links and times.

Regards,

The Kinder Team.
