The wellbeing, and particularly the mental health, of every student, is the focus in Term 4. We will be encouraging and sustaining motivation for learning, re-engaging students and supporting their social and emotional education alongside curriculum-based learning. It is vital for students to feel a spiritual connection to their world to promote their wellbeing and sense of belonging. In particular, this term, the students will reconnect after their distance learning journey. They will engage in collaborative activities alongside curriculum-based learning. They will answer the big question, "How do I grow my body, mind and spirit?"

For Religious Education, they will begin by exploring creation as a sign of God's love and goodness, by listening to scripture and responding to the world around them. Students will engage in hands-on activities to identify God's creations and reflect on our role as stewards of creation. Then, the students will learn about the liturgical season of Advent by learning about the importance of waiting. They will listen and reflect upon various iterations of the Nativity story, whilst also exploring the significance of the birth of Christ.

For Inquiry, Health and Physical Education focus on students enhancing their own and others' health, safety, wellbeing by participating in various physical activities that are challenging, enjoyable and physically active. Junior students will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to strengthen their sense of self, and build and manage satisfying relationships. These skills will help them to be resilient, and to make decisions and take actions to promote their health, safety and physical activity participation. The term will provide opportunities for students to develop skills, self-efficacy and dispositions to advocate for, and positively influence their spiritual, emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
