Swimming Carnival FAQ's

Wednesday 19th February at Brown Hill Pool

I really want to go, is it too late?

No, it’s not, bring back your permission note by Tuesday 18th February.

What do I wear to Swimming Carnival Day?

Sports uniform is the easiest option for competitors and normal school uniform for everyone else. But the best option is to wear your team colours!!!!! Hats, zinc, socks, swimming caps, pegs, pom poms, flags, wrist bands…. And don’t forget your bathers and a towel.

What are the house colours?       Blue   Yellow   Red  Green

There will also be prizes for best dressed at the carnival. Houses will also be judged on sportsmanship and colour, with winners scoring bonus points to the team’s total.

What will happen during the day?

At school you will go to your home groups and be marked on the roll. Students will then make their way to the front of the school and walk to the Brown Hill Swimming Pool. On arrival you will sit in your teams seating area and wait for the first event.

How do I enter events?

Students will be able to enter events on the day. It is very important that students pay attention to announcements and the time of the day. There will be a schedule with each house leader, which will show all events and the times of when they begin.

What are the Novelty Events?

Novelty events like cork scramble, the enduro and relay events are a lot of fun. Every student who enters and completes the event, will score a point towards their house total.

How do I enter a relay team?

You will need to create relay teams for yourself and they must follow these simple rules.

Students must be the same:    year level and house

                            E.g.         Year 8         Green
