Watch this space for more news on a new reading and literacy program in second semester. The program is called Renaissance and the software is designed to support and encourage student engagement and development in reading and literacy, in a similar way to the Maths Space (formerly Mathletics).
Following the Year 7 Family Information Evening on Students and Parents as Partners in Learning (SPIL), all Year 7 have received their PLP and should be completing it by end of Term 1, ready to start their digital portfolios in anticipation of end of year Learning Presentations. A digital copy of the plan is on the Moodle site and families can find it, and all information on SPIL, on the Year 7 Curriculum page of the school website. As students complete major assessments they are invited to complete the assessment reflection and feedback form, and store it in their digital portfolio for use when preparing their Learning Presentations in Term 4. Google Forms Learning Progress Surveys will take place at the end of terms 1, 2 and 3 as part of the SPIL program.
