Level 3/4

Level 3 News!

We have had an amazing start to Level 3 and have lots to tell you!

This term our topic is Australia – Our Land. The students are looking at different locations and landmarks around our great nation. We’ve also been loving the challenge of cross country training in the mornings. It has been fun, but tiring, learning the course and running around the school.

We made our own pledges for Rangeview’s Nude Food program to help keep our school clean and environmentally friendly.

Students have had fun choosing books from the Library for our classroom libraries. We have filled our book boxes and are loving building our stamina during independent reading. We are settling into our routines for writing and maths lessons and can’t wait to see what we learn about next!

Make sure you check out what we have been doing in Flora and Fauna!

Level 4 News!

On Tuesday the 11th of February the Level 4’s celebrated Safer Internet Day. We had the opportunity to take part in an online Webinar, joining a virtual classroom with 100’s of students from around Australia to take part in an active discussion around the safe and responsible use of the internet.

Tackling topics from cyber-bullying, to seeking help, and not giving out personal details in online settings (forums, games and more), students discussed and developed strategies to be safe and informed digital citizens. It was a fantastic session!

We’ve also kicked off our exciting inquiry topic for the term, Australia – Our Land. Students are loving exploring our nation in greater detail, and have each chosen and begun researching a place from around our country that they will share with their classmates later in the term. We can’t wait to learn more about this Great South Land from one another!

From the Level 4 Team, Karen Hastie (4H), Anju Mehta (4M), Steve Atkinson (4A) & Sam Carter (3/4C).
