Foundation Level Update
Wow! We have had a couple of very busy weeks in Foundation. The children have started their phonics programme, learning about the different sounds that letters make. Some classes made ‘Clever Cat’ masks with their Buddy grades (see photos below). A fun time was had by all.
German news: The Level 5/6 Buddies have been busy making a Shultuten for their Foundation buddy. The Shultuten will be ready to fill soon and will be distributed to the Foundation children by their Buddies in the coming weeks. We welcome Foundation parent helpers to visit our classes to help fill the Shultuten. Please contact your class teacher if you are able to assist.
Inquiry: The Term 1 Inquiry topic is ‘Everybody Belongs and Superheroes’. The children have been learning about their family and how their family is similar or different to other families. This will culminate in a special dress up day later this Term where the children will be asked to dress up as one of their family members. Details to follow soon. The Inquiry topics for Term 2, 3 and 4 respectively are ‘Farms’, ‘Toys and Technology’ and ‘Plants and Gardens’.
