It is a very busy last few weeks of school. There are lots of events to enjoy. One of our students in Year 5 Ishan has helped write the newsletter this week. This is his contribution.
Bakers Delight fundraising gone successful! We had a wonderful delicious lunch from Bakers Delight on Wednesday 27th November. This was a good gesture and all money raised will be used for the school development activities. We encouraged more volunteers to come forward to help our school
End of the Year Concert is coming soon! We are pleased to announce that the End of the Year Concert will be held on 11th December 2019 at 5:30 pm. There will be shows, dance and performances by all the students in Dohertys Creek College. There will be a gold coin entry to the concert.
Year 6 Graduation Day our year 6 Graduation will be held with Graduation Ceremony on 19th December at 5:30 pm. All year 5 & 6 students are invited with their parents. After ceremony , year 6 students and their parents are invited to attend dinner together.

School Awards Assembly
At our last 2019 school assembly we will be presenting whole school excellence awards. These awards will be presented to student who have achieved excellence in curriculum areas. This is the first presentation of awards that will become a yearly event, so we are starting an historic event.
Please come along to the assembly on the 16th of December at 8:50am.
Prep 2020 Transition
Our Prep transition for 2020 has been held last week and this week. It is always exciting to have and welcome our new students.
Prep 2020 Info Night
Our Prep information night is on the 4th of December at 7:00pm. The information night is important for all parents of Prep 2020 to attend.
Please do not bring children to the information night it is for parents only.
2020 Step Up Days
Over the next 3 Weeks we will be preparing students for 2020. We will have two step up days to help children transition to 2020 year level.
BBQ - School Concert
OSHC Club has kindly offered to provide a vegetarian BBQ before the school concert. This will be available from 5:00pm. The school concert starts at 6:00pm and food will not be allowed to be eaten in the gym. Please come along at 5:00pm enjoy the BBQ as a picnic before the concert. A menu with pricing will be sent out prior to the concert via compass.

Student reports will be available on compass on the 16th of December.
New Classes for 2020
Children will meet their new teachers and class on the 18th of December
School Finish Date/Time
Below are important dates for 2020. We are again spending 2 days to have personal interviews with parents and students before the school year begins. These interview are very important to enable teacher to gain important information about the children in their class.
It is also important that children spend time with their new teacher to ensure 2020 starts well.
It is a great opportunity for parents to also meet the teacher and share important information.
