Region Swimming 2020

 

Region Swimming 2020 was a record year with 16 Mount View Swimmers competing!! Congratulations to Jai B, Brendan C, Sam D, Evan, D, Matthew D, Thomas D, Michael G, Nikhil I, Archie L, Elyn L, Diesel M-H, Ryder M-H, Colin T, Jack W & Valentine Z. What an amazing day we had for personal bests and some great team work.

The boys competed in 4 relays with Nikhil, Evan, Brendan and Matthew starting the day with the Medley relay in the first race of the day, the boys swam a great race and their technique was fantastic.  After that we enjoyed watching Brendan, Jack & Colin in their individual events. Elyn and Ryder did a great job out swimming their opponents in a full pool to both place 1st and qualify for State.

As always my favourite part of the day is watching the freestyle relays. Our teams' change overs were amazing and the boys should all be commended on their great attitudes and striving for their own PB’s in such a competitive environment.  Boys you were an absolute pleasure to watch and I can’t wait till next year to see if Mount View can again have the hat-trick of relay swimming teams!
