IMPORTANT END OF YEAR MEDICAL INFORMATION

Welcome to another instalment of Heath and First Aid at Kalinda Primary School! This fortnight’s focus is on end of year preparations.

Medication Sign in/Sign out Register

As the year draws to a close, some of you may choose to take your child’s medication home over the holidays.

If you’d like to collect medication from the school, it will need to be signed out using the medication sign in/sign out register. This is located in the Sickbay and has clear instructions and examples on how to complete the form. If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me during the hours of 11-2:30.

2020 Action Plans

If your child has anaphylaxis, asthma or an allergy, they must have a current ASCIA/Asthma Foundation Action Plan at school.

This authorises us to give appropriate medication and treatment for your child.

Now is the time to make your appointments at your healthcare professionals for 2020 Action Plans. This ensures your child’s plan is valid for the whole school year. If there are any changes to your child’s action plan, a new Student Health Support Plan will need to be completed as well. Copies of Action Plans and Student Health Support Plans can be collected from the office or found on the school website.
