State Hoop Time Competition

On Monday the 25th of November the Kalinda All Stars boys team competed in the State Hoop Time competition.

They earned the opportunity to compete at this level of competition as they were very successful at the division and region level.

On the day they played 6 games. They won all 4 games within their pool therefore advanced to the quarter finals. They won the quarter finals against Mary Meade Primary School by 13 points. They then advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals they played against Glenn Katherine Primary School. Unfortunately they lost this game, they put in their very best efforts and played great basketball however their opponents were too strong on this occasion.

Overall they finished third, so they are the third best school basketball team in the whole of Victoria. This is a massive achievement, one which we are all very proud of.

Thank-you very much to Petra for coaching the boys, and thank-you to all the parents for assisting with scoring and showing such great support throughout the hoop time competition.
