OSHClub Update

Welcome back for Term 4! 

The September/October Vacation Care program was a great success: we again saw increasing numbers due to last minute bookings – we regularly had around 30 children attending – with some excursion days hitting around 40 children! 

The program included excursions to Go Climb in Coburg and Bounce trampoline park and African drumming and cooking incursions. All children loved the excitement and challenging nature of the indoor rock climbing and obstacle courses at Go Climb and the Jamie Oliver fruit and vegetable-based cooking class was a hit with both younger and older children alike – we carefully prepared both a delicious and healthy tomato bruschetta! Highlights from the in-program activities included our American-style bean tacos, Marks Up and Longest Kick competitions on Footy Day, our Spring Craft day scavenger hunt and our Pyjama Day cubbies and slumber party. Reminder to Parents:

Whilst the service understands that occasionally last minute bookings are necessary, the service is staffed according to the number of booked children, meaning that unfortunately we are not always able to accept these bookings – particularly if there is a large number of walk-in bookings on the day. 

We are experiencing a record number of bookings – up to 40 in the morning and 65 in the afternoon – please let us know if there is any changes to your bookings/if your child is going to be absent so that we can continue to provide a high quality of care to attending children.

We have had a new permanent staff member start during the Vacation Care program – Brooke will be working Monday to Friday both Before and After School Care. Brooke is studying both Primary and Secondary school Physical Education teaching and has a background teaching Karate at an Eastern suburbs dojo. Please feel free to drop in and introduce yourself and make her feel welcome 😊

REMEMBER: Ensuring your children are booked to attend OSHClub helps us to cater for your children’s needs and ensure we have enough educators to look after your children.

If you are having difficulty using the OSHClub online booking system, please call head office on 1300 395 735. Otherwise, you can book your child into the program on the day by calling or texting 0427 144 945.
