Sporting Achievements
Queensland Hockey
Well done to Sophia Papantoniou, Shanelle James, and Mia Newbold, who recently travelled away to Bathurst for the U15 National Championships. Sophia’s team finished with a bronze, while Shanelle and Mia finished up in sixth place. A further award went to Sophia who was the leading goal scorer.
Well done, everyone.
Queensland Futsal
Over the holidays Matilda Robson travelled to Sydney to Futsal Nationals. Matilda’s team finished second via penalty shootout. Matilda earned selection on the AFA U15 team to travel to Taiwan in 2022.
Queensland Figure Skating
Harper Conner’s has been skating up a storm - taking home two silver medals from the Artistic Roller Skating Championships. Harper is now focussed on the National Championships, which are scheduled to take place later this year.
United Swim Club
United Swimming is our joint swimming club with Padua College. Earlier this month we had some students and graduated students racing again.
Queensland State Sprints:
- Ash Sehl (Graduated 2019) picked up a Bronze in Woman’s Open Division
Australian National Swimming:
- Ash Sehl finished ninth (50 Free), fourth (50 Fly)
- Johannah Sehl and two Padua students just missed the national qualification by .03 of a second. We are sure they are big talents coming through.
A huge congratulations to the Head Coach, Kirk Taylor, who has put a lot of time and effort into leading this program to great results.
