Boys' Boarding News

It was great to welcome back all our Term 1 boarders with Pedrea joining us after his film production role during Term 1. Thanks to the boarding staff who assisted in setting up rooms, organizing learning tools and getting everyone ready to go on Tuesday morning.

Special thanks to Julie, our resident cleaner, who did a great job ensuring the boarding house was ‘freshened up’ and maintenance staff who tidied the gardens and installed floodlights to provide the opportunity for more activities in the late evening.

Boarding is delighted to welcome Jen Inglis as the Boarding Assistant (Deb Page has moved into a Med Centre role), Imarnie Fatnowna as the acting Head of Girls' Boarding and Jill Fitzgerald who will be building programs and processes for boarding. Jen and Jill are situated in the new Boarding Office in the boarder's recreation Room. Feel free to drop in anytime and have a chat.

As normal, the boys hit the ground running – literally! Sporting commitments have begun and the boys are busy getting involved in football, mountain bike racing and BMX racing. Congratulations to the boys playing football who celebrated their first win in Round 1 on Wednesday night.

This week the boys attended the Parent/Teacher conferences and saw a number of teachers to discuss their progress. Special thanks to Mr Herbert and Mr Schofield for ‘jumping in’ and assisting as guardians/carers.

Later in the week, the boys had a planning session to lock in their choice of activities for the term which they have included in their program planning.

We are off to a great start!

I Look forward to what our boarders can achieve this term!
